Currently, there are 30 volunteers in the Upper West Region, including doctors, nurses, nutritionists, pharmacists, and biomedical engineers, who are distributed across various hospitals in the region.
The team had a meeting with representatives of the Regional Director of Health Services on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at the Regional Coordinating Council upon their arrival.
Professor Edwin Yenli, a urologist and the leader of the current delegation to the region, welcomed the volunteers on behalf of Professor Francis Abantanga, the President of Apridec Medical Outreach Team.
On Wednesday, April 3, 2024, the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Babign, visited the team at Nadowli District Hospital. He expressed his gratitude for their dedication and service in providing specialized care to the underprivileged. Additionally, the Speaker made a donation to the hospital to support its operations.
